BMW PGA Championship

With a £7,000,000 prize fund, the BMW PGA Championship has attracted a decent field to Wentworth this week, with the likes of Justin Rose, Henrik Stenson, Francesco Molinari, Lee Westwood and Luke Donald all taking part.

We will start our story with the Italian Molinari who is enjoying an excellent season. 6th at the Players Championships was a decent way to prepare, and he's also claimed a 7th at the Arnold Palmer and 14th in the Farmers Insurance this season and missed just a single cut since the turn of the year. Molinari has great course form here also, finishing 5th in 2015, 7th in 2014, 9th in 2013 and 7th in 2012. With 7 places on offer at 1/4 odds, the 14/1 with Sky Bet looks worth backing.
Another man who has done well here in the past is Chris Wood - last season's winner of course, and the 4th place finisher in 2015. This one is a bit of a leap of faith that a return to a course he likes will rekindle his season. A decent 6th place at the Volvo China Open last month aside (three rounds in the 60s) he's been relatively quiet this year, but at odds of 33/1 looks a sound investment.

Chris Wood e/w at 33/1 (7 places 1/4)
