Venus Williams may well be in the twighlght years of her professional tennis career, but her younger sisters growing family may have offered her a great chance to add to her trophy cabinet at the last minute.

If she's to do so, she will need to beat Elise Mertens, and we reckon that should be an easy task for the American.

Williams is the vastly more experienced player, and over the last two years has a 4-2 winning record against those ranked 10th-50th and a 3-1 record the remainder in the top 10. Mertens is a less impressive 3-4 v 10-50 and 1-2 versus the rest.

With over 50 places between them in the rankings, I'm happy to trust Venus at odds of Even money with corals to get the job done 2-0.

Williams to win 2-0.
