It promises to be a cracking event again with a stellar field as usual, but the bonus of a swathe of bookmakers competing to attract the most customers during the summer with eight place offers for each way punters. Sexy times to be alive indeed.

Heading up the betting is Dustin Johnson at 8/1 - and his win last season followed up on a 2nd place in 2015 and 4th in 2014. It's an event which seems to follow a pretty solid form line, but a missed cut last week puts us off Johnson to some extent at the short odds.
I'd ratther be with Jason Day given the eight places on offer. He's a man who loves this event - twice a runner up (2011 and 2013), as well as 4th in 2014, 9th in 2015 and 8th in 2016. Ranked 2nd in the world, he will be looking forward to this event and appeals at 14/1.
Jason Day e/w at 14/1 at PaddyPower (8 places 1/5)
Jason Dufner is another who has generally enjoyed his US Open's, with an 8th and a brace of 4th's in the last five years. He comes into the event this year full of confidence having won the Memorial a fortnight ago, and he looks a huge price at 66/1 for each way value seekers.
Further evidence of Dufner's credentials were on display in the Byron Nelson (13th), Zurich Classic (5th) and RBC Heritage (11th), and he looks worth a bet at the current odds of 66/1
Dufner can strike it well from the tee which should be important here and there are plenty who would have him much shorter in the betting.

Kevin Kisner is a man who made hay for us a fortnight ago, and we're willing to give him another crack this week as the American goes off at 55/1 with Paddy Power and Betfair.
Kisner comes into this event in hot form with a win and a 6th place and is dominating a lot of the metrics which could be important this week. Yes, hitting the ball well is important at Erin Hills, but its not the full story, and at the odds, we shouldn't ignore a man in such obvious form. He's already finished 4th at the Sony Open, 2nd at the Arnold Palmer, 2nd in Zurich, and won the Dean&DeLuca this season. Odds of 55/1 insult those stats, and he looks worth a point e/w.
Kevin Kisner e/w at 55/1 with PaddyPower (8 places 1/5)
