The Ladies draw has another really open look about it this season in the abscence of Serena Williams, resulting in joint 5/1 favourites at the head of the market in the form of Karolina Pliskova and Petra Kvitova. The alternatives are hard to split as well with a further eight ladies priced between 12/1 and 25/1 and split fairly equally throughout the draw.

Our outright pick has to be Kvitova who has proved her fitness and ability after over six months out following an attack which left her with serious hand injuries. She won Birmingham last week at the loss of just a single set, and whilst she didnt play anyone of real note aside from Lucie Safarova, she nevertheless beat everything put in front of her. It's arguably that time out will allow her to have conditioned herself to peak for this week, and what a way it would be for her to announce her comeback to the top level. At 5/1 she looks worth a bet.
1pt Petra Kvitova to win Wimbledon at 5/1.
Looking through the quarter betting, the top part looks a minefield. Angelique Kerber is the 4/1 favourite, but she's been far from dominant lately and we couldn't back her with any confidence. Muguruza feels a similar sort after being convincingly beaten by Barbara Strycova (one game away from a double bagel). Safarova has been in decent form lately, and we're going to take a chance on her in this quarter. With the Slam allowing a day recovery between each match, lingering doubts about her right thigh strain are eased, and odds of 10/1 about a semi-final appearance look fair.
1pt Safarova to win Quarter 1 at 10/1
The second quarter houses the impressive Karolina Pliskova, who comes to Wimbledon off the back of a semi-final appearance at Roland Garros and victory at Eastbourne after that. That tournament saw her beat Caroline Wozniacki and Svetlana Kuznetsova highlighting the form she is in. at 15/8 to win the section with Paddy Power she might be getting under-rated - Coco Vandeweghe and Anett Kontaveit don't overly concern us, although Caroline Wozniacki is a threat and could be worth covering as well at 8/1 - The Dane beat Heather Watson and Simona Halep enroute to reaching the Eastbourne final.
1pt Pliskova to win Quarter 2 at 15/8
1pt Wozniacku to win Quarter 2 at 8/1
Venus Williams heads the betting in the 3rd part at 5/1, with youngster Jelena Ostapenko - fresh from winning her first slam in France, the 6/1 second favourite. It's a big ask to win back to back slams though of course. Elina Svitolina, Madison Keys and Ashleigh are in this section in what looks a solid if slightly weaker part. Our money goes on Barbara Strycova however, who has a solid Grass record over the years, and knocked out Bouchard and Muguruza at Eastbourne. She's unlikely to have enough to win this event, but at 18/1 looks overpriced for an appearance in the semi-finals.
1pt Strycova to win Quarter 3 at 18/1
