While Middlesbrough spent last season struggling against the likes of Chelsea and Man City, Sheffield United were cutting through the likes of Chesterfield and Bury.

How the pair will fare when they meet in the Championship therefore has no strong form line running through it, but in our view, there should still be a decent gulf between the sides.
Boro were busy during the summer, adding Jonny Howson and Britt Assombalonga to thier ranks, and keeping the vast majority of last season's squad together. That should ensure they hit the ground running again this season and they have also retained the defence that brought them promotion in 2015/16.
Sheffield United have themselves maintained continuity, but the jump to face Boro is too great to justify the home team being available at 9/10 with Paddy Power in this one. Putting their long term expectancies into perspective, Boro are just 2/1 to win promotion, while the Blades can be backed at 5 times that price - 10/1 to be precise.
Back Boro to win this one at 9/10 is the advice.
2pts Boro to beat Sheffield United
