Malta v England

England have named a pretty young squad for their trip to Malta on Friday, although they are expected to field a first choice XI, but there are reasons to believe that the Three Lions might not be capable of racking up the sort of cricket score that our fans might be hoping for on Friday night.

Ranked 190th in the World, Malta are the sort of side who have historically taken rather a beating, but they have looked much more organised in recent years and will be looking to keep this one tight.
Indeed 21 of their last 28 matches have gone under 2.5 goals, so they have moved away from the likes of San Marino, Andorra and Gibralter. They have a number of football league players amongst they squad, and will be looking to park the bus wherever possible.
Odds of 2/7 about an England clean sheet are probably quite far, which leaves us to ask how many goals England will score. Only two of the last 26 visitors to Malta have scored more than three, which leads us to our first bets:
1pt Under 2.5 Goals at 12/5
1pt Under 3.5 Goals at 10/11
We'll also chuck a dart at the 2-0 correct score at 11/2. Malta have lost by that scoreline in eight of their last 21 - quite a statistic - and it doesn't take much of a leap to see a repeat of that. The game plan will be clear, we know all about England, and we have history on our side.
1pt England to win 2-0 at 11/2
