Leauge Two Weekend Bets

There are a raft of potential opportunities in League Two this weekend, and we'll start at Cheltenham where we could be in for a goal glut.

The hosts haven't been scoring huge numbers this season, but they have been creating chances, so there shouldn't be any reason to hit the panic buttons just yet. Stevenage have been among the goals - 8 scored in their first 4 league matches, but they have looked vulnerable, and for a side who are third in the division, the 61 chances against figure is a bit of a concern.
Our ratings have the sides far closer together in ability than the early league table suggests, so a competitive affair could be the outcome. In a league which generally delivers high scoring matches, the 4/5 available on Over 2.5 Goals looks appealing here.

Further north, Crewe travel to Grimsby, and will be hoping for three points against a side struggling near the foot of the table. We think Crewe are probably flattered to be riding as high as fourth - draws against Mansfield and Newport County were certainly against the run of play - but they now have a chance to grab three points on merit.
Grimsby have started the season very badly, with just three points in the bag courtesy of a win at Chesterfield on the opening day. There are two things to note about that win hwoever. Firstly, Chesterfield, four games in, are bottom of the division. Secondly, Chesterfield absolutely hammered Grimsby in the match, without finding a way through - they created 30 shots on goal that day. For context, that was 10 more than Luton who bagged eight goals against Yeovil! No side has better that statistic yet this season, nor the 13 shots on target they produced.
Crewe have every chance here, and Bet365's 19/10 about the away win look worth backing.

Since Michael Brown took over at Port Vale last Christmas its seriously debatable over whether he has improved anything. If anything, he's taken them backwards, and we're not convinced the season ahead offers much brighter prospects. 30 matches in charge has seen him pick up just 6 wins and 8 draws, and that could get worse at Notts County.
Regardless of results (which have been poor), Port Vale have among the worst underlying shot data in the division already - registering just 11 shots on target in four matches so far.
Notts County have started reasonably well, and you get the feeling Kevin Nolan is growing into the job. Since he took over in January, his side have won just shy of half their 27 matches, drawn 6 and lost 8. A promotion push could be on the cards this season under his stewardship.

Finally consider adding Wycombe into your staking plan this weekend, like we did last week. They host Forest Green who looked all at sea when losing 5-1 to Colchester last time out. Of course, Wycombe also lost by that scoreline in the EFL Trophy, but the majority of that team was a reserve outfit, so the confidence should be in tact through the squad.
Wycombe are just a shade of odds-on, and we'll be amazed if this pair end up even vaguely close in the table come the end of the season. 10/11 looks a gift in a game Wycombe can win with ease.
2.2pts Wycome to beat Forest Green at 10/11
