Omega European Masters

With the Fed-Ex Cup taking a week off ahead of the BMW Championship, all eyes turn to Europe this week for the Omega European Masters - staged on a tight little course at Crans-sur-Sierre.

It's a beautiful course, and one which generally rewards accuracy and a strong short game rather than any power off the tee. GIR and Scrambling top performers usually feature prominently in this event. In fact, 7 of the past 11 winners have ranked either 1st or 2nd in the GIR stat at the event.
Course form is also very important, with no fewer than 11 return winners coming over the years, and other winners almost always have experience playing here, so that's worth bearing in mind.
So with all that in mind, consider backing Richie Ramsay who was a winner here in 2012, and looks in decent form. He was knocked out of the MatchPlay by Paul Lawrie, but finished 2nd at the Irish Open, 34th at the Scottish Open, 22nd at the Open and 8th in the European Open, so is certainly in decent enough nick right now. It's a course he loves, having posted three top 10's in the last five years, so take the 33/1 with Coral's who are paying seven places in this one.
1pt e/w Richie Ramsay at 33/1 (7 places 1/5 odds)
