Friday night football returns with Derby County v Hull City this evening, and the early season stats suggest Hull are being under-rated by the bookmakers ahead of this one. The money has already started to come for the Tigers, so it would be worth climbing aboard sooner rather than later.

Playing at Pride Park will obviously favour Derby, who won 11 and lost just four here last season, but Hull have started brightly enough this season and will be targetting a play-off place at worst now.

With 71 shots for, and just 46 against, the Tigers have the fourth best shot ratio in the division. Derby by comparison have managed 64 and had 53 against. At the sharp end though, Hull have managed to get 31 of theirs to at least hit the target, while Derby have managed that just 16 times, and will need to do better if they want to be in the mix after Christmas.

Tom Lawrence comes in the Derby squad tonight, and that should certainly help things - he did well at Ipswich last season and looks to be a player who is blossoming quite nicely now. He is only one player of course though, and on the balance of how the season has begun, we have to side with Hull in this one at odds of 5/6 with Bet Victor, getting a 0.5 Goal start. That means we win on the draw as well, and looks the best investment in this game.

1pt Hull (+0.5) on the Asian Handicap - BetVictor at 5/6
