Saturday Championship Tips

Cardiff have been a regular pick in the Championship for us this season, and there is a very good reason. Neil Warnock has got his side supremely organised, playing to their potential and creating plenty of chances. They will surely go near this season and it would be no surprise to see them climb back up to the Premier League.

They travel to Fulham this weekend, and the bookmakers are showing far too much respect to the Cottagers by quoting them at a best price of 5/4 for this match. That would suggest there is little between the quality of these sides on a neutral venue.

Cardiff have been the better side in every match they have played this season including excellent performances against Aston Villa and Sheffield United, and notably against a well regarding Wolves side. While Fulham are no pushovers, they haven't displayed the same kind of dominance.

Middlesbrough travel to Bolton, and it could be the sort of game Phil Parkinson loves to prepare for. At the significant underdogs at home he has a free rein to try to kill the game, and that's exactly what he is likely to do.

Boro have scored just four and conceeded three in their opening five games this season, so haven't exactly caught fire yet, and Bolton are unlikely to fan any little flames that do spring up.

The Under 1.5 goals is a decent price at 2/1 - three of Boro's six matches so far this season would have landed that bet (including when we tipped it last week for their game against Preston).
