Burnley v Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace travel to Burnley with a 0-0-3 record on the board so far in the Premier League. It's hardly the sort of start that Frank de Boer was dreaming about in pre-season, and their 2-1 victory over Ipswich in the EFL Cup was equally poor given that they faced pretty much a youth team in that one.

We wrote in pre-season about the struggles ahead of Palace - a group of players, bought by a different manager for a very different style of football, and it looks like the square pegs aren't slotting nicely into the round holes yet. Home defeats to Swansea and Huddersfield are huge potential points already gone, and the road ahead looks rocky for Palace - indeed they are now third favourites for the drop.
Burnley are 2nd favourites, but it's not a view we share. Sean Dyche is a proven performer and there is a stability at Burnley like few other clubs. They have four points on the board, which included a draw at Spurs and a win at Chelsea (albeit against a nine man outfit), and have bought well with the addition of Nakhi Wells and Chris Wood to their attacking options, which was also strengthened with Jonathon Walters in the summer. Chris Wood don't forget scored 47 goals for Leeds in just 88 appearances, and scored on his debut a fortnight ago.
Burnley are 11/8 to win this tie with Bet Victor, and that looks generous given that it would see them move ahead of Liverpool and Arsenal into 7th place.
1pt Burnley to beat Crystal Palace at 11/8
