What a difference a couple of results can make in football. It wasn't much more than a fornight ago that we were looking at Manchester City as mis-firing early seasons strugglers after a home draw with Everton and a lucky last gasp victory at Bournemouth.
Since then, a 5-0 win against 10-man Liverpool and a 4-0 win at Feyenoord have restored our confidence in Pep and his crew, but whether they should be as short as 1/3 to win away at Watford is quite another matter.
The Hornets have started the season in good form, with draws against Liverpool and Brighton and wins away at Bournemouth and Southampton already, so there are enough reasons to beleive they can give Man City a match here.
Watford are available at 5/2 with a (+1) handicap, which would see us collect with a Watford win or a draw, and the likes of Kiko, Nathaniel Chalobah and Tom Cleverly seem to have quickly gelled so won't be push overs.
1pt Watford (+1) to beat Man City at 5/2
Another home side with a decent chance are Newcastle when they welcome Stoke to St James' Park. The Magpies started the season with defeats to Spurs, Huddersfield and Nottingham Forest, but have swung things around now by beating West Ham and Swansea. so confidence will be running through their veins once more, and should allow them to take the game to Stoke.

We wrote at length in our pre-season previews about the weaknesses in the Stoke squad, and despite some brighter performances than we expected they could be there for the taking this weekend.
Newcastle won the shot-counts convincingly against Swansea, West Ham and Huddersfield, so things could be even better for the side, and Stoke have now lost nine of their last 14 away trips.
1pt Newcastle to beat Stoke at 7/5
