The trend for home favourites obliging in the MLS can continue when Atlanta United play host to LA Galaxy on Wednesday evening - kick off midnight UK time.

These two are like chalk and cheese in the form stakes. LA Galaxy have lost 10 of their last 13 matches, winning just once. That is just five points from a possible 39, which simply isn't good enough. Siegfried Schmid was appointed head coach 12 games ago for what that's worth.... coincidence or a man out of his depth? Either way he doesn't look to be providing answers and has certainly taken the club backwards.
Atlanta have rather better recent form - their last 11 matches have returned a 6-4-1 return, which included the 7-0 thrashing of New England, and 3-0 win over Dallas. At home they have won seven and drawn two of their last nine - a formidable record.
At even money, the -1 handicap looks a fair play in this one.
