Premier League - 3pm Tips

Just two stops for us in the Premier League 3pm's tomorrow, starting at Manchester City. The side are absolutely on fire right now, and while a couple of their scorelines may have flattered them to some extent, they will nevertheless be riding on a wave of confidence, and the visit of Crystal Palace is hardly the sort of fixture to fill them with fear - Roy Hodgson's side are now favourites for the drop and for good reason.

They simply cannot score goals at the moment, and given how he usually works, it's a safe bet that the new man wont have spent too much time on that side of things just yet, and will be looking to work out how to start picking up clean sheets. Things probably won't change overnight for the former England manager, so we should expect City to grab a few, and probably not expect Palace to threaten them significantly.

With this in mind, the Clean Sheet looks a little over the top for Man City at 4/5 with Betfair Sportsbook. Palace have failed to net in five successive Premier League matches, and nine of their last 10 if you stretch back over the summer into the end of last season.

Given the way City are popping them in at the other end, the form of Aguero and Jesus should be enough to convince us to chuck a couple of small bets at the 4-0 and 5-0 correct scores. They are 10/1 and 16/1 respectively, so we'll try a point on each.

The other game where a bet looks worth considering is Swansea v Watford, where the form of the hosts suggests they might not be the favourites the bookies seem to think they are. Five games into the season, only Burnley have allowed more shots against them than Swansea. The Welsh side's shot data reads 31 shots for, 104 against, and 8 Shots on Target for, and 29 against.

They've lost both home games they've played so far this season - 4-0 to Man Utd and 1-0 to Newcastle, and of the five points they have collected on the road, they've arguably been extremely fortunate.

Both Tottenham and Southampton absolutely battered them and each should have scored at least two or three, so to get 0-0's in both of those was pretty lucky, while Palace were beaten 2-0 in a match that probably saw the home side the better over the 90 minutes.

Watford are in much better shape all round, and if you can put aside the 6-0 drubbing by Man City last week, you can see a decent start to the season. Wins at Southampton and Bournemouth were both fully deserved, while they opened with a 3-3 draw against Liverpool.
