League Two Best Bets

Coventry look the class act in League Two on the early data, and they are probably the best bet to win the title right now, but we'll concentrate on the weekend matches in this column and side with the Sky Blues beating Barnet on Saturday.

With a shot ratio of 68% they look the stuff of champions, and they were dominant against Crewe (won 1-0) and also against Cambridge in a match they lost 2-1. Had that gone the other way, we'd be talking about the table toppers in this one, and they are mostly getting the results they deserve and have now won five of their last six league games, including four clean sheets.
Barnet by contrast have struggled this season. They've won just twice in their last 12, and haven't kept a clean sheet since the end of August. In fact, both sides have scored in their last nine matches - we'd be seriously considering a BTTS bet here if it wasn't for Coventry's super tight defence.
2pts Coventry to beat Barnet at 5/4
Another away side who can go well this weekend are Stevenage when they visit Crewe - a side woefully out of form right now after losing six on the bounce - five of which they have failed to score in.
A 5-0 home defeat to Carlisle was certainly the low point, but they also lost 3-0 to Exeter, and haven't scored at home since early September now.
Thats a fact which isn't ideal against a Stevenage side who have now kept three clean sheets in succession and will be motivated to keep kicking on given their place in the play-off spots right now. Odds on 11/8 are decent enough in this one.
1pt Stevenage to beat Crewe at 11/8
We're backing goals in Cambridge v Wycombe given how they have flowed freely in Wanderers' matches this season. 10 of Wycombe's 13 matches this season have gone over 2.5 goals, with 47 goals in total - an average of 3.6 per match.
Cambridge haven't been quite as prolific, but their 14 matches have produced over 2.5 goals in six, which isn't enough to swing our view around.
The Over 2.5 Goals can be backed at 11/10, while the 3.5 Goals line is a good shout at 11/4 as well (that's landed in eight Wycombe matches this season already!)
1pt Over 2.5 Goals at Cambridge v Wycombe at 11/10
1pt Over 3.5 Goals at Cambridge v Wycombe at 11/4
This is becoming a busy round up, but we'll add Exeter into the staking plan as well when they visit Carlisle. The hosts have struggled at home this season, winning just once in seven, so despite the long trip, Exeter come here knowing they have a great chance.
The Grecians are going well this season - second in the table and posting decent enough shot numbers. Recent defeats to Coventry and Notts County probably shouldn't be overly concerning, as they are arguably the two best sides in the division and they travel well, with three wins in their last four away trips in League Two. Our ratings are beginning to mark out Carlisle as a side who could struggle this campaign, so get with Exeter in this one.
2pts Exeter to win at Carlisle at 9/5
