World Cup Qualifiers - South America

We have another night of international football ahead of us, and it is to the Americas we head in search of value tonight - and we’ve pulled out two matches we think offer an opportunity to grow our bank balances.
Brazil simply have to be supported at 8/11 when they play Chile. Brazil have already won the group - and in some style, losing just one of their 17 matches and recording a +27 goal difference so far. The market is clearly keen on motivation in this one, with Chile needing a win to ensure qualification. Anything else and they are in the hands of the gods.
It’s hard to see Brazil’s starting XI not being serious about this however, as the competition for places is hot enough, but reports suggest we should see Coutinho, Neymar and Jesus all involved from the start.
Chile are no push-overs of course, but neither have they set the group alive, and their 3rd place currently in the standings has been achieved more due to their avoidance of draws than their overall quality - they have just a +2 GD so far this campaign.
3.3pts Brazil to beat Chile at 8/11
Ecuador are another side who might be getting under-rated based on expected motivation. They are available at 8/1 to beat Argentina, despite the match being played in La Paz - an altitude stadium perched 12,000ft above sea level.

That’s a significant leveller (to excuse the pun), and makes a big difference to Ecaudor. Take the last three years for instance, they are 8-2-3 at home, but just 2-1-5 away. It’s a similar story to that which we talked about for Bolivia last week when they secured a draw against Brazil.
Argentina have struggled for goals this campaign - it sounds ludicrous given they have the likes of Aguero, Di Maria, Messi and Higuain, but that’s 16 goals in 17 games simply isn’t good enough for a side of their quality. While it seems unimaginable that they could miss a World Cup, that’s precisely the scenario which faces them if they fail to win tonight.
Ecuador would seriously love a scalp, and actually won 2-0 in Argentina, so it is absolutely not beyond them. As a small and proud nation, we see no reason for them to roll over tonight, and they look astonishing value. We’ll back them in a number of ways to try to maximise the chance of a good return.
1pt Ecuador to beat Argentina (draw no bet) at 6/1
1pt Ecuador +1 to beat Argentina at 2/1
2pts Ecuador +2 to beat Argentina at 7/10
