We didn't get a chance to complete a quick fire double on Wednesday as Finale became a non-runner down at Nottingham. We'll try again on the all weather at Chelmsford where Watersmeet goes in a decent class 2 handicap at a shade over a mile.

Coming here off participation in the Cesarewitch, this trip should suit much better, as should reverting to the all-weater.
Over his career, Watersmeet has won 8/16 starts on all-weather tracks (and placed an exceptional 14 times), which compares pretty well to his 2 wins from 21 starts on Turf (and only 4 places). He's also placed in six of seven starts at this class.
With both trainer (Mark Johnston) and jockey (Joe Fanning) in decent nick lately, this frankly looks a terrific bet at 3/1. If (and when) the price goes, the 11/4 is more than acceptable.
3pts Watersmeet to win the 6.55pm at Chelmsford at 3/1 (Paddypower/Betfair Sportsbook)
