We'll start the weekend off with our top fancied horse, which runs in the 2.15pm at Aintree in a decent quality handicap chase.

In-form Dan Skelton sends Virgilio for this one, which will be ridden by brother Harry, and the pair have been in great form as a partnership recently. So far this month they have teamed up for 20 runs, and won no fewer than eight of them.
Today's runner is no stranger to winning either having come away victorious in exactly half of his 12 starts in a very lightly exposed career, and has never been beaten outside of Class 1 events.
He's also won five and placed twice from 11 starts under Skelton, so they are well used to each other, have won six from seven when priced shorter than 4/1, and have obliged in all six starts as favourite in his career.
With three wins from five runs at Aintree, and four from eight at this distance there really isnt much not to like, and we'll up the usual stake for this one as well as going each way given his phenomenal strike rate.
2pts e/w Virgilio in the 2:15pm at Aintree at 7/2 (General)
