Midweek Championship Picks

Sheffield United are enjoying a fabulous return to the Championship, and even the biggest doubters must surely be giving them a fighting chance of promotion now after 36 points from their opening 17 games leaves them a full 10 pts clear of 7th place Leeds now. Of course, the absence of a single draw has played it's part to some extent, but you might argue thats a trait you often see from sides playing with confidence, for whom loss-aversion behaviours simply don't negatively impact upon them.

Bramall Lane has been a fortress this season with seven wins in eight matches - something which underpinned their 2016/17 League One triumph, which saw 17 home wins from 23 matches.
They take on Fulham on Tuesday - a side without a win in six now, albeit after a reasonably tricky run of fixtures, and they look there for the taking for the in-form blades, who have collected 30 points from a possible 39 since the start of September.
3pts Sheffield United to beat Fulham at 11/10 (General)
A little further down the M1, Nottingham Forest will welcome Norwich City, and there is every reason to believe the 13/8 chalked up about the home side is a little on the long side.
Nowich would have been disappointed with a point at home to Barnsley last weekend, and prior to that went down 2-1 to Bolton, so things are hardly rosy right now at Carrow Road. They haven't won since beating Ipswich 1-0 in the East Anglian Derby six matches ago now.
Forest have been slightly inconsistent of late - wins over Sheffield United and away at Hull have shown them at their best, but they were toothless at Birmingham last week. Nevertheless, they are a point better off than Norwich, and there is no reason they should be as long as 13/8 with home advantage in this one.
