Everton v Huddersfield

In a break from the norm, we are chucking the ratings completely aside for this one, and backing Everton more on hunch than on the data. Anyone who saw them on Wednesday against West Ham will know just what a boost Rooney delivered on his return, and while the headlines focussed on that goal and his hat-trick, the reality was that his deep role in front of the defence gave Everton a terrific opportunity for Rooney to dictate the game and distribute the ball to wide positions hugely effectively. It was one of the best individual performances in an Everton shirt for a long time in our view. Everton have won just once this season without Rooney, so his return shouldnt be under estimated.

Then we have Sam Allardyce. He is the sort of man who we all love to hate, but put him in your camp, and he's an inspiration. If he doesn't have an immediate impact on the effort and organisation from the squad, it would be a major surprise, and we should remember the majority of this squad are proven performers at a higher level than they are currently managing.
Then we have Huddersfield. A side who have not won or scored away from home in their last seven matches and who are falling rapidly down the Premier League table despite that excellent start to the season.
It hasn't just been the on song sides beating them either, West Ham, Crystal Palace and Bournemouth have also won to nil against them in the past two months.
Everton should surely be shorter than the current 10/11, and they warrant support.
3.3pts Everton to beat Huddersfield at 10/11 (Betway)
