After a successful 2017 season (101pts recommended for a 39pt profit (38.85%), our golf coverage is back by popular demand for 2018, and we're starting out over in Hawaii for the Sony Open - the second of a double header on the Hawaii Swing.

Diving straight in, Webb Simpson will be hoping to pick up where his 2017 campaign left off when he tees off on Thursday. The American claimed six top 20 finishes in his final seven events of the season, excluding the RSM Classic from which he unfortunately withdrew from to spend time with his critically ill father. At the half-way stage there he was just outside the top 10, so there looked every chance he would extend his good form.
Kicking his 2018 season off here looks a perfect match, having finished inside the top 20 in his last four starts at this venue, including a hatrick of tied 13th places over the past three years.
He finished in a share of 9th back in 2009 and has only ever missed one cut here, and playing Waialae is one of the first fixtures on his calendar every season.
1pt e/w Webb Simpson at 40/1 (1/5 odds 1,2,3,4,5,6,7)
We'll also chuck a point e/w on Kevin Kisner who enjoyed a fine 2017, and has finished inside the places on his last two visits to this track. The American was putting superbly in the Sentry TOC event, enroute to a 17th place finish, and finished last season really well, taking a 3rd in the Tour Championship before kicking off the official 2018 season with a 4th place in the RSM Classic.
Currently 4th in Strokes Gained Putting is a really useful weapon to have up his sleeve here, and with conditions looking pretty good, that could make all the difference. He's 20/1.
1pt e/w Kevin Kisner at 20/1 (1/5 odds 1,2,3,4,5,6,7)
Betfair, Sky Bet, Ladbrokes and Corals all pay a generous seven places this week.
