With the absence of Andy Murray from proceedings in Melbourne this week, Kyle Edmund has picked up the baton and reached the quarter-finals to ensure travelling British fans have had plenty to cheer about, but we fear it could be the end of the road for him as he prepares to face Grigor Dimitrov on Tuesday.

The world Number 3 has already beaten Edmund in their only two meetings - both of those victories coming on hard courts, and both within the past four months. It's certainly going to be a tall order for Edmund to reverse that form, but we believe he has enough in hard to at least make life difficult for Dimitrov.
Edmund was competitive in Washington when the pair first met, eventually losing 7-5 4-6 6-3, and the match really could have gone either way - he only converted one out of 12 break points in that match, so another day may have seen a different outcome. It was another close match in Brisbane just over a fortnight ago, as he lost 6-3 6-7 6-4 - Dimitrov won just six points more in that match (99 v 93) so it could again have been a different result.
With both players struggling at times enroute to the quarter finals, perhaps the best play in this one is to roll the dice and back Dimitrov to win 3-1 at a tasty looking 14/5.
1pt Dimitrov to win 3-1 at 14/5
We'll resist getting involved in the other match - we're already with Cilic for the quarter, although we won't hold out too much hope there given Nadal has an excellent head to head record against the Croat.
