Wales v Scotland

The Six Nations gets underway on Saturday with a massive clash between Wales and Scotland. It's a complex puzzle to solve.

On the one hand, Wales have won nine of the last ten meetings between the sides, and serious questions have to be asked of the Scotland tight five in the absence of Richie Gray, Darryl Marfo, Zander Ferguson and Simon Bergham.
However, flip the coin, and the injuries throughout the Wales camp are far more damaging, and they also suffered a 29-13 defeat the last time the pair met. Add in that Scotland enjoyed a terrific winter tour, including two wins over Australia and a close match against the All-Blacks, and you have a recipe for a great match. They put 50 points past Australia in one of those matches of course lest we forget.
Facing Scotland without Sam Warburton could be the straw that breaks the camels back in this one in our view, as Wales are also without Dan Biggar, Jonathan Davies, Taulupe Faletau and Rhys Webb. Coping without such a fine crop of players cannot be overcome easily, and while they have decent replacements, and a partisan crowd behind them, Scotland have to get the nod in this one.
