League Two Best Bets

Three bets in the fourth tier, starting at Chesterfield, where Swindon have plenty of motivation to keep the foot on the gas in the promotion race in a match they will expect to win.

The Robins have been in decent form lately, winning seven of their last 11 - a run that includes away wins at Crewe, Barnet and Stevenage. Taking on a side second from bottom should deliver no fears - especially a side who have lost four straight matches now, and three in a rrow at home to modest opponents (Stevenage, Crawley and Cambridge).
Our model makes Swindon a fair bet at 6/5 in this one.
2pts Swindon to beat Chesterfield at 6/5
Crawley Town are pick two, with eight wins in ten breeding real confidence, especially given Luton were one of the two who stopped them. They have beaten Accrington, Yeovil, Notts County and Chesterfield on the road since Christmas, so another at Forest Green looks eminently achievable.
It would be disingenous not to mentioned that the hosts have now won four on the bounce at home, but they remain on just 33 points for the seaosn and are far from a finely oiled machine, so it looks worth taking them on here with a team who are still more than capable of joining the promotion race - at least via the play-offs.
Crawley to beat Forest Green at 9/5
Finally, Mansfield were our big outright tip for League Two, and while it took them a long time to get going, Steve Evans finally has them ticking along nicely, and their league form is suitably impressive - with just one defeat in 12 - a spell which has delivered a +13 goal difference.
Coventry are this week's oppenents and they have lost four on the bounce, have won just five from 16 on the road this season, and look to be weaker for the loss of Duckens Nazon.
1pt Mansfield to beat Coventry at 13/10
