It's a pretty quiet Sunday, so our TV and Films man has popped over a couple of picks for the Oscar's tonight, just in case the PGA Tour isn't delivering anything worth following from our picks later on this evening.

Best Picture - The Shape of Water
Often the award that everyone believes they can predict with utter confidence, this year's award looks a tight thing between "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri" and "The Shape of Water". The former is the bookies favourite, but we actually fancy "The Shape of Water" to take down the award at 2/1.
General Oscar wisdom dictates that you need a Best Director nomination if you are going to win Best Picture, and that has to be a huge negative for Three Billboards. In fact, only four previous winners of the category have ever done so without a Best Director nomination to back them up, including Driving Miss Daisy and Argo.
It's also worth noting that Guillermo Del Toro is as short as 1/10 to win Best Director.
Finally, due to the way the Oscar's are voted, a film which can appeal to a wide spectrum of viewers always does well, and this appeals to both sides of the gender divide
2pts The Shape of Water to win Best Picture at 2/1
Best Director - Guillermo del Toro
No bet on this one, given we're predicting a double with Best Picture - that means we're tipping up a 1/10 shot, so we'll keep the powder dry on this one. Winning the Director's Guild Award is a massive trend setter for following up at the Oscar's, which is another reason this looks a solid favourite.
Best Leading Actor - Gary Oldman
It can't be anyone else really can it? He was central, supreme and has won everything in the run up. He's 1/25 as a result with the bookmakers!!!
Best Leading Actress - Frances McDormand
Winner of the BAFTA, SAG, Critic's Choice and Golden Globe, this is another shoe-in, and she is 1/12 as a result. It's hard to see this going anywhere else to be quite honest.
Best Screenplay - Get Out
As a more emerging film, and with serious content below "Get Out" looks a pretty decent bet in this category after winning the award in the Critics Choice Awards, and also performing really strongly at the Independent Spirit Awards
2.2pts Get Out to win Best Screenplay at 10/11
Documentary (Short) - Heroin(e)
With a strong push behind it from Netflix, Heroin(e) has to have a great shout of upsurping hot favourite Edith+Eddie in this category. This short investigates a health crisis in the West Virginia, and the communites best endeavours to handle the fallout.
2pts Heroin(e) to win Documentary Short at 3/1
