Horse of the Day

The weather has accounted for plenty of meetings lately, but a thaw and an all-weather meeting at Southwell should ensure we get a run from our Horse of the Day on Tuesday.
Something Lucky goes for Michael Appleby in this super short sprint. Already a winner twice over this course, this gelding comes from good stock over the shortest trips and should be the one to beat after good runs at Wolverhampton recently.

He lost to today's rival Archemdies in February, but that result has seen an 8lb handicap imposed, and our selection can be the key beneficiary. It's a three horse race in our view, with Cross Fire the other with a claim, but he's never coped so well over this distance
So far this season, Something Lucky hasnt been outside the places in eight starts (2,1,1,1,3,2,2,2) so should surely be amongst the pace setters here, and he's really taken to the all weather since switching from Daniel Steele.
1pt Something Lucky to win the 2:20 at Southwell at 15/8
