Raced over 2m 4f, and eligible only for Mares. George Elliott's Apples Jade won in 2017. Getting solid trends in this race is hard given the dominance of Quevega from 2009-2014.

Trends

- The favourite has won 7 of the last 10, and two of the remainder were won by the 2nd favourite.

- Only one of the 23 starters to wear headgear have placed.

- Front runners have a poor record in the race

Our Pick

It's just not possible to be against Apples Jade in this one - she won in fine fashion last year, and has been unbeaten ever since. There are no doubts about her ability and she comes here in an even stronger position than before. Of course Benie des Dieux must be respected given Willie Mullins' record on this race, but he was fortunate to be handling one of the true festival legends as he built up his successful record. This race is one we are going to swerve from a betting perspective entirely, and recommend no bet.
