The end is in sight as we reach the Foxhunter, and this looks a tough old heat to call. We'll again take three against a field of 24. Seven of the last nine winners have SPd at 15/2 or shorter, so we aren't going to be shamed away from the front of the market. Other key trends to note include the fact that horse ages 11+ have won just three times from 209 since 1990, and that allows us to chalk a line through exactly half of the field before we even get started. Nice.

Wonderful Charm leads us out, having been a notable runner-up by just a neck last year, and has now won three hunter chases having recently delivered on soft ground over this distance at Musselburgh. He comes here for Paul Nicholls, who of course was last years winning trainer so knows what it takes. There aren't deal of proven ground winners in the field, but he's won of the stronger in that department, having won twice from four starts, and placed in another.

Virak is our next , who also goes for Nicholls. A classy chaser, and has won both his hunter chases this season - one of which came on heavy going, albeit over a shorter trip than they face today. He's won seven of his 15 starts on soft to heavy ground, and has also won three times at this level. The only thing against him is lack of success from three starts at Cheltenham, but we'll forgive that.

Finally, Caid Du Berlais has enjoyed a strong point-to-point schedule this season, winning all three outings, and fits the profile of a potential winner. Will Biddick took 2nd place with Ms Parfois on Tuesday, so will be looking forward to another good run out.
