Well after a week of excitement at Cheltenham, it's back to the staple football diet this week, and we'll start off in our favourite division - the Championship.

We had some luck backing Millwall last week, and it looks a worthwhile plan of attack once again as they visit Barnsley - a side struggling to put any sorts of results together home or away. They will of course need to start picking up points soon to ensure they are playing in this division again next season, but I'm not willing to write the motivation of Millwall off just yet either who are just six points behind 6th place, and will still feel there is a slight glimmer worth following.

The Tykes have won just twice since Bonfire Night (November 5th) - a 24 match sequence, and their 1-1 draw with Norwich on Tuesday was their 10th home match in a row without a win. It's a surprise to see them just 2/1 to win this one against a Millwall side who have now put together a little 8-5-1 sequence, and have won five of their last six away from home. Those wins have come against very similar sides to Barnsley - Burton, Hull, Birmingham, Reading and Leeds.

2pts Millwall to beat Barnsley at 8/5

Hull have been much better lately than their precarious league position suggests. They've pulled away from the relegation zone now, with back-to-back wins over Norwich and Ipswich, and their recent shot data has really improved.

Their last 14 matches have yielded 6 wins, 3 draws and five defeats, so they should have enough to account for a woeful Birmingham at St Andrews. The Blues must be shot of confidence after losing their last seven in a row, and they are just 4/9 for the drop now. We're actually eyes opposing that, but not just yet - if they can dip to 4/11 with defeat here, they might be worth backing to stay up ahead of matches with Ipswich, Bolton and Burton. But more on that another day.

For now, back the away side at 6/4 is the advice.
