Grimsby v Chesterfield! This is the big match of the day. Forget the Manchester and Merseyside derbies. This is is where it is at. This match could very well be the most important match of the season in determining which of the two sides stay in the Football League next season.

A home win, and Chesterfield would be seven points behind Grimsby, and their three games in hand would be looking like nothing more than a carrot dangled out of reach. However, if Chesterfield win, they would be just a point behind the Mariners, in better form, and favourites to survice by a distance.
On a run of just six points from a possible 60 makes tough reading for even the most optimistic Grimsby fans, but then a look at Chesterfield's away form, and suddenly they might perk up just a little. The Spireites have won just twice away this season from 18 attempts, losing 12.
That said, Grimsby do have the worst home record in the division (just four wins from 20 games) so odds of 5/4 on the hosts hardly appeal. This one really could go either way and will surely be about which manager can get his side up for the match best, and Jack Lester looks the best man for that job in our view.
2pts Chesterfield to beat Grimsby at 12/5 (General)
Sticking with today's theme of outsiders, the Luton bubble may have burst, and they have won just twice in eight as Accrington soared past them at the top of the league, and are stretching away. They recovered to beat Mansfield on Monday, but their away form is more concerning - just one win in nine away matches since the turn of the year - that coming against whipping boys Grimsby.
Yeovil are this week's opponents - quite a trek down to the West Country, and the Glovers have made Huish Park something of a fortress this seaso - losing just eight of their 28 at home all season. They also come into this full of confidence after putting six past Coventry on Monday, and have now collected seven points from three games, and also won four of their last six at home.
Luton will be a tough nut to crack of course, but at 4/1 there is enough juice in the price to be worth a small dabble.
