The winner of this race has almost always run in the Queen Mother or the Ryanair Chase a few short weeks before, and it looks likely be a repeat of that as the bookies ask us to call between Min and Balko Des Flos. The latter of course hosed up in front of Un de Sceaux at Cheltenham, and has every reason to claim to be the main contender for the honours.

Min also ticks everything you need in this one, having won two of his three starts on soft ground, his only race at this trip, and also 50% of his top class races. Balko des Flos will probably attempt to make all in this one, and it will be interesting to see whether or not he is reeled in on the run in. With Paddy Power offering free bets if you are beaten by the SP favourite, it makes sense to side with Balko des Flos here – if we are beaten, there is around a 60% chance that Min has come in first. Not bad odds to get our stake back.
1pt Balko Des Flos to win at 9/4 with Paddy Power – Money back if beaten by Min (SP FAV)
