An intriguing fixture this one - Scunthorpe finished the season in great form, but it was a last gasp decision to part ways with Graham Alexander which sees Nick Daws in the hot-seat for the second time in three years.

Together with right-hand man Andy Dawson, Daws closed the season with four wins and three draws - taking his overall record as caretaker boss over two stints to an excellent 9-8-1. Extrapulate that over a full season and you're talking a 90 point season. He clearly knows how to get maximum effort out of his players, and looks like he is eyeing a longer term stint in charge.

Plenty will be made of Rotherham finishing the season with four wins from their last six, but dig a little deeper and the fact that they played four sides firmly spreading the beach towels out may well have helped massaged a good looking record out of not a lot. Fleetwood, Blackpool, Bristol Rovers and Gillingham all lost to Rotherham. I have a sneaky suspicion they may be lulled into a false sense of security.

The step up from Daws and Dawson sparks renewed thinking into the Scunthorpe side, and odds of 6/4 look more than fair on the hosts.

1pt Scunthorpe to beat Rotherham at 6/4
