Motherwell v Hamilton looks a full-on beach job, with Motherwell sat in 7th place, and Hamilton in 10th and safe from relegation barring a 13-goal turnaround, and that could be good news for home fans in our view.

Motherwell have collected 31pts from 19 games against sides in the bottom half this season (1.63 per game), and that improves to 17 from 9 (1.9 per game) when playing at home. They should be bouyed by a decent home crowd in this one, and come into in reasonable form - three wins, four draws and a couple of defeats in their nine.

Hamilton are certainly in trouble, and have lost eight of their last nine - the only win coming against bottom side Ross County.

Motherwell of course will be expected to make a few changes with an eye on next week's cup final against Celtic and a few knocks and bumps running through the squad, but in a match where heads are low and motivation limited for an out of shape Hamilton, you have too fancy any sort of Motherwell side to come out fighting in this one when Cup final starting places could be at stake.

At 10/11 Motherwell are long enough to take a punt this week in our eyes.

1.1pt Motherwell to beat Hamilton
