It's north to Perth on Thursday, where we like the look of Morning with Ivan in the 4:15. This is a Class 3 handicap hurdle, raced over 2 miles and worth just shy of £9000 to the winner.

Having switched yards towards the end of 2017, things have just taken off for this one since coming under the stewardship of Susan Corbett, winning four from six, and adding a further 2nd and 3rd in the other two races. That's seen a steady rise up the grades, but she could still have further improvement to come.

She has placed in both her starts here, including when winning just over four weeks ago over the same distance. She's got a tremendous career record over this trip as well, placing in 9 of her 14 starts (8 in 12 over hurdles) and winning five of those. When you consider she is 5 from 14 over this trip, but just 4 from 29 over other distances, you get the feeling this is the sweet spot.

With ticks around the class, course and distance this looks a solid pick on Thursday.
