Just a quick update on Race Day with our pre-qualifying bets looking really well placed now with Daniel Ricciardo on pole and Carlos Sainz qualifying putting his Renault on 8th.

Today's interest is Charles Leclerc - a young man born in the principality and looking for a third consecutive points finish. That's not bad given his Sauber isn't the quickest car and he has started just six races in his F1 career.
Leclerc has certainly put a good account of himself infront of the world this season, having graduated as a 20-year-old off the back of GP3 and Formula 2 titles in the previous two years. He's a man destined for a big future in our view, and reminds me of the likes of Alonso, Schumacher, Hamilton and Senna in potentially giving a big show on the streets of Monaco.
Leclerc is a 10/3 shot with Sky Bet, Corals and a few others to improve into the points from his 14th place start, and with attrition so high in Monaco and a potential for a spot of rain, this could be a good bet.
1pt Charles Leclerc to finish in the points at 10/3
Our second bet is on Max Verstappen NOT to finish the race. The young Dutchman has failed to finish 16 of his 65 races to date - 24.6%, which would imply, on average, he is a 3/1 shot to fail to finish on any given sunday. This is Monaco though to start off with - the race with the highest attrition on the calendar. Then we have predictions of a little rain at the track during the afternoon. Then finally, we have an over-wound maverick, whose desperation to make up for a poor incident that sees him start at the back is a recipe for disaster.
Max is already the subject of must debate about whether he has the discipline needed to harness his clear natural speed, and starting from the back here will be another test. You get the feeling he won't have the patience required to scythe his way through the field.
He's 5/2 with William Hill to fail to finish which looks big.
2pts Max Verstappen NOT to finish at 5/2
