This match up sees a less experienced campaigner looking to make the most of surface advantage, and we're backing the young German to deliver on the French Clay courts.

Maximilian Marterer may not be a particular familiar name to many of you, but he's now just 14 places behind Ryan Harrison in the world rankings, and is well ahead if you look only at the clay court events. Harrison has collected just 37 ranking points from five events on the red stuff, while Marterer has accumulated 143pts from 15 events.
While he hasn't got the same level of experience as Harrison, it's arguable he should be shorter than the 4/6 currently quoted given his success on the surface. He reached the semi-finals of the BMW Open earlier this month, and has previously won two challenger events on clay. Harrison himself won the Savannah Challenger on clay in 2013, but aside from that you're struggling to find any tournements on the surface where he's done any better than a second round appearance.
This is a great chance for Marterer to gain some crucial ranking points and continue his charge up the rankings. He was ranked 130th this time last year, but could break the top 50 by the end of the season in our view.
3pts Maximilian Marterer to beat Ryan Harrison at 4/6 (General)
