Kiki Bertens takes on Angelique Kerber on Saturday, and its a fair bet that she will go off a good deal shorter than the 8/11 currently available on the Dutch lady, who excels on clay.

Bertens is ranked 5th in the world when it comes to clay tournaments alone - much better than her 22nd place in the overall rankings. She's won 80% of her matches on the surface against Top 100 players since the start of 2016 (43-11), winning 61% of service points and an impressive 46% of receiving points - a combined 107% making her a truly elite level performer on this surface.
Kerber if course is no pushover, but her stats are nothing like as good - winning 54% of her matches to the same filters (15-13) and winning 56% of service points and 43.8% of receiving points - a combined 100.2%. It decent, but by no means exceptional and she could very well be vulnerable to the excellent return game that Bertens possesses.
Bertens won their only meeting on clay previously, at this same venue in the first round two seasons ago. She should also be pretty fresh, having come through the first two rounds at the loss of just nine games. She's not been broken yet either, and faced just eight break points across four sets. With touranement victories at Charleston, and a final appearance in Madrid she's in great form.
Kerber also came through well, losing 10 games over four sets, but those opening rounds haven't been as easy as they have looked - she's been broken five times in all, which makes her susceptible.
3.3pts Bertens to beat Kerber at 8/11 (General)
