Southampton to struggle

Southampton's shot data in 2017/18 suggests they were unlucky to finish in 17th place - but the loss od Dusan Tadic and limited ambition shown in the transfer market so far could leave them struggling to improve much, and they are surely over priced at 8/1 to go down this season.

Just 13 points split the bottom 10 in the Premier League last season, and that's rapidly becoming the norm, with evenly matched sides drawing more frequently than we've seen historically (potentially as a result of the stakes being higher than ever), and Southampton still dont appear to have the goals in them to fire themselves clear. Top scorer last season was aging Charlie Austin with just seven - and he is now injured, while Tadic has gone (6).

With plenty of picks to come up over the next few days, we won't labour the point, other than to say 8/1 looks too big on the Saints going down.

1pt Southampton to be relegated at 8/1 (General)

Last season our antepost portfolio recommended 33 picks, hitting 12 winners, and returning a 31pt profit from 49pts recommended at 63% ROI
