Wolves - World Beaters?

Wolverhampton Wanderers have been pretty busy over the summer, securing the services of Diogo Jota , Wily Boly, Benik Afobe, Joao Moutinho and Rui Patricio already, while Raul Jiminez is on loan for the season from Benfica.
Its certainly a statement of intent from the owners and the bookmakers have reacted by making Wolves their joint favourites for the "best of the rest" with Everton.

For a newly promoted side that sounds like a massive over-reaction to me, and while I'd certainly be more than a little exicted if I were a Wolves fan, I'd equally want to temper expectations a little. All that means that Wolves are as long as 4/5 to finish in the bottom half. Odds-on might not sound appealing based on the first paragraph above, but pause for a moment and think about what that means.
If you took the reasonable view that Everton are consitent enough to ensure they are on the tails of the big-six, then the "bottom half" market is essentially a 13 horse race, where 10 of those horses will be "placed". I dont know about you, but I find that pretty appealing in all honesty when you are getting close to even money. There is a lot of personnel to gel together, and although the players signed are clearly good, there are plenty of proven performers at the majority of the sides they are going to have to beat to finish in the top 10.
Things will be tight between all the sides, and the 4/5 is too big.
5pts Wolves to finish in the Bottom Half at 4/5
