There's not been a great deal to get excited about for Colchester fans for a while now, and have been on a steady demise back to their more familiar level for the past decade. Early season data suggest they could be on course for at least a play-off challenge this season, and that's likely to be a good deal above when Cambridge finish, who look every bit a bottom half side this season.

Colchester are 5th after the opening exchanges, with Cambridge 14 places lower down in 19th on just seven points. Perhaps most encouraging for Colchester is the +9 goal difference they've achieved, which shot data suggests is probably only slightly down to luck. They've been very tight at the back - allowing just 58 shots against - the second most efficient in the section. Cambridge by contrast have allowed 93 shots against - only Grimsby are performing worse than that.

There is plenty of even money about Colchester, which is acceptable, but 21/20 is available with black type and should be snapped up.

1pt Colchester to beat Cambridge United at 21/20
