Peterborough are riding high in League One - 2nd place, plus 11 goal difference and 19 points from their opening eight matches. Life should be good for the Posh, but the underlaying metrics suggest that it is probaby fortunate that they have the points on the board now - its makes for grim reading.

142 shots against (division worst), 82 shots on goal against their opponents (4th worst in the division). 38 shots on target (marginally above average) and 44 shots on target against (only Wycombe, Scunthorpe are worse). Oh, and a -37 corner difference. Plenty of reasons to expect that results might not continue to be as strong going forwards.

Gillingham are nothing special from the early signs, and although they are probably slightly better than their 20th place in the division, they are certainly a bottom half side. But odds of 21/10 are fair enough in this one.

1pt Gillingham to beat Peterborough at 21/10
