Bristol City v Aston Villa

Bristol City sit in 8th place in the Championship, but back-to-back defeats last week at West Brom and Wigan may have left them feeling like things aren't going quite so well.

Playing Saturday-Tuesday-Friday clearly didnt suit the Robins last week, as they lost 4-2 at the Baggies, and 1-0 at Wigan. Both are decent sides of course, and a return to Ashton Gate could be just what the doctor ordered in front of a season-high crowd. They have had seven days to recover, with the players giving a couple of days off, and we reckon they are over-priced at 13/8 to beat Aston Villa.

Villa have won just once in eight, and reacted by shoring up the squad with the loan acquisitions of Tammy Abrahams and Yannick Bolasie. They've played three games each now, but that run has seen them draw away at Blackburn and lose at Sheffield Wednesday either side of a 2-0 defeat of Rotherham. Looking over their last games, they have failed to beat Ipswich, Reading and Burton as well - hardly difficult opposition, so to have them rated the better side in this match looks unfair on Bristol City.

The match can be viewed behind the Sky Sports Red Button despite being knocked off top pick by the Sheff Wed v Leeds battle.

1pt Bristol City to beat Aston Villa at 13/8 (Betway)
