Saints' Christmas run spells trouble

Southampton aren't having the season their fans had hoped for. 18th in the Premier League, with a (-14) goal difference after their opening 13 games and without a home win thus far. That means we are now over 1/3rd of the way through the season.

To make matters worse, they are now without a win in 11, and face Man Utd, Tottenham, Arsenal, Man City and Chelsea among their next eight Premier League outings.
The expected goals certainly suggest theyve been unfortunate not to score more than the 10 goals they have managed, so they might feel they should have collected a few more points. It's a fair argument for sure, but with such a tough run coming up you can't help but feel those chances for some easier points might have been and gone without the opportunity being taken.
You can still back Southampton to finish in the bottom three at 11/4 and that looks too big with the upcoming fixtures they need to get through. Christmas might just be a little bit shit for Southampton fans in 2018 in our view.
2pts Southampton to be relegated at 11/4
