Jim Long v Benito van de Pas
First match on Friday see’s Jim Long tackle Benito van de Pas, and the best value could be foun in the 180’s market, where you can get 9/4 on Long out-stroking van de Pas on the lipstick.

Neither man are prolific, and although we believe van de Pas is probably a touch too short in the match betting, the battle is unlikely to be an epic tussle, and could therefore introduce a greater element of small sample variance to the equation.
Over a sample of just over 300 legs, Long achieved 0.16 180s per leg – which is potentially higher than van de Pas would be expected to average. I’d probably make him around a 13/8 shot to out-max his opponent in this one, so the 9/4 available looks a great price.
1pt Long most 180s v van de Pas at 9/4
Richard North v Steve West
Steve West is the bookies favourite here, and that seems a fair appraisal. We’re expecting West to be a better bet on the 180s front, but nothing dominant enough to take advantage of, so instead we’ll head to the finishing doubles market in this one.
Both men religiously follow the Double 20 route as their primary option – both well inside the top hitters of that particular section of the players left in the tournament. We’ll split stakes on this with a small bet on the match being won on D20, and a cover at a shorter price on the match to be won on D20 or D10 – both with Betfred.
