Scottish Lower Round Up

I'm currently on Peterhead for the League Two title, so Edinburgh's terrific form this season has been hard to ignore. They have won 14 of 19 league matches this season, including seven from nine away from home, and they just continue to roll on and on.

Being picky, you could say they have dropped off lately - winning just five of their last 12, but they have only lost three in that spell and it included playing Alloa (draw) and Inverness twice (draw and defeat). Take out those higher league opponents and they have still gone 5-2-2 in that spell.

They go to Queen's Park today who ahve lost six from eight now - drawing the other two. They have also lost 2-0 in each of their meetings with Edinburgh this season so far - one at each venue.

In League One we are backing Arbroath to win on the handicap when they visit Stenhousmuir. Stenny simply haven't coped against the better teams in the division, and over their matches against the Top 3 so far this season they have played 7 and lost 7. In that run they have scored 5 and conceeded 21.

Arbroath can be backed at 13/10 on the -1 handicap market freely and that makes plenty of appeal against a side who have lost 7 of their last 10 - six of which have been by more than a single goal.
