We enjoyed success opposing Charlton last week after the loss of Karlan Grant to Huddersfield and the suspension of Lyle Taylor - the latter serving the final match of his ban today at home to Southend.

Southend need to start winning quickly if they are to cling to their dying hopes of a play-off shot, but they may well get that today given the absence of Charlton's two leading goalscorers for the season - between Taylor and Grant they netted 26 of Charlton's 47 league goals this season and it's hard to see how their play-off charge won't come unstuck now. Chris Powell also has history with Charlton as well of course so will surely be extra keen to get every drop of effort out of his players.
We'll back an inconsistent Southend in a decent price in this one - they have won four and lost six of their last ten, while Charlton's decent form is arguably not as relevant as their current selection problems and shortage of goals.
1pt Southend to beat Charlton at 16/5 (Bet365) - 3/1 is also acceptale with BetFred.
1pt Charlton to Finish Outside the Top 6 at 4/1 (General)
.Two sides heading in different directions in the table today are Doncaster and Peterborough. We've regularly opposed Posh this season with various degrees of success, and they have consistently performed poorly on the shot data. How they remain in play-off contention is genuinely beyond me!
In fact, I'm boldly predicting that Doncaster leap-frog Posh today and willl never look back from there.
Starting with the hosts, Donny have now lost just twice in 13 - both those defeats coming away from home, and they are unbeaten in eight at the Keepmoat - scoring 25 and conceding 6 in that run (caveat - they did beat Chorley 7-0 in the FA Cup).
Peterborough collected 15 of their points in the opening five league matches, meaning that since then they have been operating at a rate of 1.3pts per game. More like mid-table form basically. More recently they have lost six from 11 and won just three games in their last 15.
At even money with Bet Victor, Doncaster look one of the bets of the weekend in my eyes, while for a bigger price I wouldn't put anyone off the 5/2 on a (-1) handicap success with Spreadex.
3pts Doncaster to beat Peterborough at evens (Bet Victor)
1pt Doncaster (-1) with Spreadex at 5/2
