In League Two Newport County have dropped off significantly since a November run threatened to put them in a strong position for a play-off charge. More lately they have dropped back into the levels of a mid-table club in terms of performance. Three wins, three defeats and three draws have been the returns from their last nine, but it's worth nothing that their home form remains solid. Their last 15 have delivered 10 wins, four draws and a single defeat.

They take on Mansfield today, a side who are finally beginning to deliver in line with their chunky League Two budget. Bit things are expected of the Stags and they look solid automatic promotion material now and warrant every respect. Five wins, nine draws and a single defeat away from home suggest they could be vulnerable in this one.
I'm torn between backing Newport to win, or taking them on the double chance market, so to cover both bases i'm going to back them on the Draw No Bet at 7/5 on the exchanges or Marathon Bet. That gets us our stake back if its a draw, and wins if Newport get the job done.
1pt Newport County Draw No Bet at 7/5
At the bottom end, Macclesfield look in all sorts of bother this weekend - Koby Arthur (16 apps / 3 goals), Harry Smith (25/4) are both possible absentees, while James Pearson (17/0), Danny Whitaker (15/2), Ben Stephens (11/1) and Ryan Lloyd (11/0) are all confirmed on the treatement table.
With a relatively clean bill of health, Crewe should be confident of making it six wins from eight starts in this one - they enjoyed a week off last weekend which can be a real shot in the arm at this stage of the season.
Macclesfield are better than their league table position suggests, but even the obvious talents of Sol Campbell could be found wanting this weekend.
1pt Crewe to beat Macclesfield at 6/5 (General)
