Portuguese football is dominated by a small number of sides - Porto, Benfica and Braga are begining to pull away. Behind them the league is more competitve however, and we like the look of Belenesses as they host Maritmo - a club who look like being sucked into a massive relegation battle.

Take the top-four out of the league table, and Belenenses would be boasting a decent looking 6-9-1 WDL record this season. In terms of the battle between the rest, they are certainly up there. Most recently they have won five and drawn three of their last 11, and two of the three defeats came in away matches at Porto and Sporting.

Since a solid start of the league in August, which saw them win three of their opening four league matches, Maritimo have since won just three of their next 18 matches and have failed to score in each of their last three matches despite playing Chaves (17th) and Desp. Aves (15th)

Belenenses look over-priced at 13/10 (slightly longer on the exchanges) and are a great bet in my eyes.

2pts Belenenses to beat Maritimo at 13/10 (General)
