Wales v England

Both sides have a potential Grand Slam in front of them when this one kicks-off on Saturday, and its bound to be a terrific affair. The Welsh have a partisan crowd behind them as always and are bidding for a record 12th successive test victory, while England fans will legitimately feel that nothing can stand in their way right now after sweeping France aside last time out.

It’s all change for Wales from their win over Italy – no fewer than 11 changes to the side in fact, with Gareth Anscombe coming in at fly-half at the expense of Dan Biggar, while England are more steady but have been forced into replacing Chris Ashton and Mako Vunipola with Jack Nowell and Ben Moon.
It’s also a clash of styles, with England playing a super-confident blend while Wales are more happy to get stuck into more of a battle. Both sides know they have a huge match ahead and the bookmakers have settled in a -4 handicap in favour of England.
That looks hugely appealing for a bet on England to me. They have won their last two visits here – both by 21-16, and look a better side than ever – they have scored a try inside four minutes in each of their last five tests, and 8 of 14 since the start of last year, and have captured bonus points in each of their opening two matches, securing a +48 points difference.
Wales have enjoyed plenty of wins, but their victory over France last year was achieved by a single point, and France are hardly at their best right now, and they also edged past Australia by just three points.
England have to be the bet here, while we’ll also throw a point at Elliot Daly getting a try at some point – he’s scored in six of his last 13 tests including against Ireland in February and Australia in November. He’s 16/5 with Betfair Sportsbook which is a nice alternative to no longer than 6.4 about Jonny May.
2pts England (-4) to beat Wales at Evens (General)
1pt Elliot Daly to score a try at anytime 16/5 (Betfair)
