Time has been kind this week, so we've had a deep dive into the National League, where Eastleigh look an absolute steal ahead of their match with Halifax.

Starting with the team news, Halifax are definitely without regular starters Dayle Southwell, James Berrett and Joe Skarz, while Niall Maher looks likely to miss out as well. That's 89 first team league starts between them, plus Ben Tomlinson (12/1), Cameron King (9/1) and Sanmi Odelusi (8/0) are also out for the visitors.

Both sides remain committed at this point in the season - Eastleigh to maintain their position ahead of Salford, Harrogate, Gateshead and Sutton in the bid to keep in the play-off hunt, and Halifax with one ever over their shoulders.

Eastleigh started the season slowly - winning just three of their opening 11 matches (opening 3W, 2D, 6L) but have more recently improved and since then have gone (14W, 5D, 4L) and have charged up to 5th. Last week's 2-0 win at Salford was impressive and stretched their run to five wins on the spin.

Halifax are no better than average really - they have actually drawn nine of their last 11 and goals have been massively rare - they have actually drawn 0-0 in six of thier last nine, with a further two matches going 1-0!

Bromley are next on the hit-list as they take on out-of-form Boreham Wood. It's been a big wake-up for last season's play-off finalists, who find themselves 18th this season, and have won just once in 13 now and twice in 20.

Away from home, Boreham Woods sequence (starting with most recent) reads LDLDDDDLLDDLLL now - a run going back to their last road win in September.

Bromley will probably miss out on the play-offs this year, but its by no means impossible and a win here would be handy. They have won nine of their 17 home games this season, and six of their last nine league matches.

2pts Bromley to beat Boreham Wood at 7/8 (Betway)
